This is it. This is our last Christmas with all of our kids under the same roof. Oh my heart.
Eighteen years have flown by. Our oldest, Jack, is a Senior in high school, so although he will likely be home at Christmastime in years to come, this is it with all of my babies in the nest.
Here are a few snapshots (literally) of some of our family's Christmases...
I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!! It's really crazy to see how much they have changed over the years. We've gone from rocking horses and dinosaurs to electronics and knives, from matching pj's to athletic gear. I've loved every second!
Yet, as any parent knows, it's a challenge to get them together to smile for the camera when they'd rather be opening gifts and playing. Plus lighting inside with a tree is always a challenge. That's why I created the Christmas Memories Portraits.
As a mother, I wanted to capture the essence of those moments at Christmas in front of the tree or a fire. For our family, those moments involve reading a book, snuggling with the dog or blankie, or playing a favorite game - always in our pj's. We have many snapshots, but now I have that perfect art piece that represents those years of Christmas joy.
I've created these paintings for other families in the last few years. They all tell a story. They all capture the kids' innocence, joyful laughter or sweet relationships, and are a constant reminder of all of the years we have with our kids. The 18 years of Christmases. It's a once-in-a-lifetime painted portrait, but I will cherish mine long into my old grandma years. I don't want to ever forget, and now time has been stilled for a moment with our Christmas Memories painted portrait.
I'm not sure how many more years I'll offer these paintings. While I absolutely love to create them, they are very labor-intensive at a busy time of year. November 9-10 might be your last chance, and I only have 4 more times available. Click the button below for more info.
