David Watt and Patricia Kelly have experienced something very special...and a record that very few people will ever meet.
Between them, they have 110 years of marriage.
After they both lost their spouses, they would've never imagined that in their 70's, God would have a second chance at love in store for them! Dave had been married 50 years; Patricia, 60. How do you continue on after a lifetime of marriage? Friends encouraged them to try a Grief Recovery class at Asbury United Methodist Church in Tulsa...and it was there that they met. Amazing.
David and Pat commissioned me to created this portrait to celebrate their one year anniversary. It was created at a special place to David where he had worked for years as the CFO - Sanders Nursery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He's such a romantic and so in love with Pat, and had it all arranged beautifully with her favorite flower, Gardenias. What a celebration and special memory! They are determined to live the life they have left to the very fullest...and it's just incredible to see their joy!
Thank you, Pat and Dave, for allowing me the pleasure of helping you celebrate your second chance at love! Your first AND second marriages are an inspiration to me!
