Over two years ago I had the privilege of meeting Tiffany Riggar. I think if we lived closer we'd be great friends, she's just a fun person! Plus, crazy enough, we both have twins and four kids- three boys and one daughter!
Tiffany commissioned me to create portraits of her family to mark a new season in life. She shared with me that one year earlier she had unexpectedly lost her husband of 17 years, the father of her four children. It was so heartbreaking, but yet I saw the determination in Tiffany's eyes to keep moving forward in life for the sake of her precious children. This was not a season in life she had ever expected or wanted, and yet here she was, suddenly a single mother of these kiddos.
Every season in life has LIFE that is worthy of celebrating.
Last week, all of our planning came to fruition when I was able to install her portraits, just as we designed and captured two years ago. It took a while for Tiffany to be ready for the portraits and the kids have changed so much, but what a treasure she now has! They have a visible reminder of the Legacy of Eric Riggar to remember what a great Daddy and Husband he was, how young the kids were when they lost him, but also and especially how far they have come. They have all survived and thrived despite such a tragedy. Even more exciting is that Tiffany is engaged to be married in October!
Thank you for entrusting me with such a meaningful celebration of this season in your life, Tiffany. It has truly been an honor!
